    Chevy Camaros have been known as muscle cars for a long time. The 2011 Chevrolet Camaro SS  for sale follows in the footsteps of this tradition and exceeds its predecessors in more ways than one. It is available in two different trim levels: the SS 1SS and the SS 2SS.     Camaro performance features a 6.2L engine with 8 cylinders and 16 valves. The 426 hp deliver 420 ft-lbs of torque at 4600 rpm. The transmission is a 6-speed manual with a rear limited slip differential. This rear wheel drive Camaro has a MacPherson strut front suspension and a multi-link rear suspension. A six-speed automatic transmission with TAPshift controls is also available. In this configuration the engine provides 400hp. The fuel economy of the Camaro SS for sale is listed with 16 mpg city/24mpg hwy for the manual transmission. The massive overdrive gear ratio causes the V8 barely to turn at 1500 RPM at 65 mph. The pay-off is a better fuel economy. The automatic transmission slightly increases the fuel economy by about 1 mpg on the highway. The legendary Camaro performance can be felt when it accelerates from 0-60 in an impressive 5.1 seconds without the traction control engaged.

    The SS trims feature electronic fuel injection compared to other trims like the LS 1LS, LS 2LS, LT 1LT, or the LT 2LT which have the direct fuel injection. The SS delivers 426 hp@5900 RPM and 420 torque@4600RPM. Compared to the 312 hp@6500 RPM and 278 torque @5100 RPM of the other trim levels. The Camaro SS trim levels have 4- wheel ABS and 4-wheel disc brakes. The StabiliTrak Electronic Stability Control, as well as the Traction Control System, is standard on these cars.     The Camaro interior is not like one you expect to find in a traditional muscle car. Standard interior features include airbags for the driver and passengers as well as thorax and side curtain airbags in the front and rear. The single zone climate control is standard for all trim levels.

    A power tilt/ sliding sun roof is available for the SS trims. Camaro interior features also include standard power seats for the driver and passenger. The bucket seats in the 1SS are made of cloth whereas the seats in the 2SS are covered in premium leather. The driver and passenger seats are heated in the 2 SS level. The premium sound system features an AM/FM Stereo with CD/MP3 Playback, Music, Navigator and Graphic Information Display. The Boston Acoustics® Premium Nine-Speaker Sound System with 245-Watts delivers a rich sound.

    Other features include an automatic dimming rear view mirror, a leather wrapped steering wheel, and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System. Bluetooth connectivity, Universal Home Remote and Rear Parking Assist are standard in the 2SS trim and available for the 1SS trim. The Bluetooth® Wireless Technology lets the driver make hands-free calls with select phones as well as the ability to listen to music stored on the phone through the speakers of the stereo system. The hidden USB ports in the console can charge various devices like your MP3 player.USB ports are standard in the 2SS.
     
    Head-Up Display (HUD) displays information such as your, speed, rpm  as well as directions on your windshield. Like some of the other interior features, this is only available in the highest trim level of the 2011 Chevy Camaro.     2011 Camaro colors include Silver Ice Metallic, Imperial Blue Metallic, Inferno Orange Metallic, Red Jewel Tintcoat, Summit White, Black, Cyber Gray Metallic, Victory Red, and Rally Yellow. Interior leather colors include black, gray, beige and inferno orange. Stripe packages are available in Cyber Gray, Black, White, Orange and Silver. Another stripe package is called a Hockey Stripe Package and comes in black, white or gray. The RS Package includes 20” painted aluminum wheels in mystery-enhancing Midnight Silver. Other Camaro colors package options include either 21” machined-aluminum wheels with black accents or 21” black painted aluminum wheels. Flangeless 20” aluminum wheels are standard whereas the high polished 20” aluminum wheels are offered for an additional price. Popular Camaro colors combinations include Black with a grey leather interior, Inferno Orange Metallic with a black leather interior as well as the Imperial Blue Metallic with either gray or black leather seats. Rally Yellow and Victory Red are often combined with a black interior.

    Contrasting colors seem to look best and are most popular among enthusiasts. The stripe packages are often picked to reflect the color of the leather seats. Any color combination is essentially possible for a custom built car. The Chevy website allows a customer to build his/her dream car and preview all of the different color choices before ordering.
