Chevy Motors Over to the 2013 Auto Salon

  • Friday, December 14, 2012

For much too long now, it seems that all we have heard about in the news is the progress that Japanese automobile manufacturers are making in the U.S. market, while American automobile manufacturers have been struggling to stay afloat. Finally we are getting some great news that Chevrolet is returning the favor by making news in Japan. General Motors is taking some of its most highly-regarded American Chevrolet autos and heading to Japan from January 11 through 13 for the Tokyo Auto Salon.

Described by BizTradeShows.com as one of the chief automobile sector trade shows in all of Japan, Chevrolet will take this opportunity to showcase its ingenuity and creativity rigth alongside more than 600 other types of efficient and high utility vehicles. Frequently highlighting what is fresh, imaginative and playful in the auto world, attendees at this show are also looking for new and innovative auto products. Going up against some incredibly stiff competition from Toyota, Suzuki, Honda, Nissan and Subaru, Chevy plans to showcase three of its most fun-loving American autos as both limited edition and concept vehicles:

    • Chevrolet Camaro Giovanna Edition: This limited edition vehicle is expected to carry on the rugged Camaro tradition of power while still delivering a fuel-conscious 30 MPG highway. Chevy is keeping the details of their latest Camaro muscle car’s specifications and design a tightly guarded secret, but anticipation is high to see what Italian aftermarket firm Giovanna Wheels will bring to this already impressive vehicle.

    • Chevrolet Captiva Freedom Rider in Carbon Flash Metallic hue: Chevy also plans to appeal to the bicycle crowd by introducing a special edition concept vehicle, a customized Captiva Freedom Rider crossover featuring a Thule roof-mounted bike rack and a striking, painted-to-match bicycle. Adding to the sporty appearance are a chrome grille, side steps and window surrounds.

    • Chevrolet Sonic Street Icon Package in red: A take-off on its cost-efficient Sonic sub-compact model, this concept car was designed to appeal to the younger “street generation” crowd with its aerodynamic body kit from 3D Carbon and sports suspension.

While you might not be able to get to Japan yourself to check out these cars, Chevrolet always appeals to our Midwestern sensibilities with its full line of hard-working cars, trucks and utility vehicles. Their engineers and designers are constantly stretching the boundaries of the automotive world to come up with vehicles that appeal to a wide variety of audiences. Whether you are looking for a muscle car, a fun family car, a rugged truck, or a sporty vehicle to impress your family and friends, chances are you will find everything you need and want in a Chevrolet.

Check out the new and used Chevys we’ve got available and you will find out for yourself why everyone is so excited to see what they are planning to put on display in Japan. Feel free to ask us about any Chevy vehicles and find out how you can be riding in style today. We look forward to meeting all of your family’s driving needs.
